Scotland Bird and Wildlife Control Vacancies

We are currently recruiting for various permanent full time and permanent part time, managers and operators positions at our Scottish Wildlife Control contracts.

Regional Manager - Scotland. permanent, full-time. £20,000 - £24,000
There is an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Regional Manager for Scotland. As the Regional Manager you will oversee the teams at RAF Lossiemouth, RAF Kinloss, RAF Leuchars and Inverness Airport, whilst acting as the primary client liaison to ensure the smooth operation of each unit.
Tasks will include, but not limited to:
Watch Rosters
Employee competency checks
Support local training and champion safe working practices
HR functions (appraisal/disciplinary) with support of Head Office
Cover shifts in the event of staff shortages and to remain competent
Attend scheduled meetings with the client
Maintain strong relationships between airfield operations and local land owners.
Your working week will be 43 hours, self-managed schedule.
£20,000 - £24,000 per annum pro-rata depending of experience/qualifications
22 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays per year

Uniform provided.
This position would suit anyone with strong managerial skills. All training will be provided, however, it is a condition of employment that you are abel to obtain and retain a firearms and shotgun licence from the local police and hold a full driving licence.

RAF Lossiemouth
 
2 day shifts, 2 night shifts, sleeping day plus 3 days off.
SafeSkys has a vacancy starting now for a full time wildlife control operator at RAF Lossiemouth.  The role would be to staff a Bird & Wildlife Control Unit as part of a team of 5 on a 24 hour basis.  Your responsibility would be to patrol the airfield in a 4WD vehicle to deter birds which could cause a hazard to aircraft.  You need to have a full driving licence, be colour perception safe and able to hold a shotgun licence issued by the local police.  No age limits or formal qualifications are required as full training will be provided.  This would suit  ex-service persons especially those with an interest in ornithology, wildlife and the outdoors.

RAF Leuchars
Permanent Part time Wildife Control Operator - RAF Leuchars, Fife.

SafeSkys has an immediate vacancy starting now for a permanent part time wildlife control operator at RAF Leuchars.  The role would be to cover holidays and emergency relief for the Wildlife Control Unit as part of a team of 4 on a day shift basis working 7 days per week 0730 - 1730. Your responsibility would be to patrol the airfield in a 4WD vehicle to deter birds and wildlife which could cause hazard to aircraft. You need to have a full driving licence, be colour perception safe and able to hold a shotgun licence issued by the local police. No age limits or formal qualifications are required as full training will be provided. This would suit a house wife/husband or retired person who whished to suppliment income or ex-service person especially those with an interest in ornithology, wildlife and the outdoors. Full training will be given.

Inverness Airport
Permanent Full Time Wildife Control Operator - Inverness Airport. 7 days per week 0600 - 2200 with regular overtime.
You would be carrying out bird and wildlife control and wildlife habitat management duties which includes the compiling of statistics, records and equipment, and compliance with Health and Safety Legislation. You would patrol the airfield in a 4WD vehicle to deter birds and wildlife which could cause a hazard to aircraft. You need to have a full driving licence, be colour perception safe and hold a shotgun and firearms licence or have no reason not to be able to obtain one. Full training will be given.

Skys has an immediate vacancy for a Deputy Operations Manager.  Based at High Wycombe, Bucks.NonN The task is to assist with HR, Health and Safety and contract management for SafeSkys’ bird control and wildlife management contracts on RAF Stations and civil airports in England, Scotland and Wales.  You need to hold a full driving licence.  Ideally you will have RAF experience as a WO or junior officer, good people skills and a shotgun and firearms certificate.
