Environmental Statement
1. Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (EPA 90), Safeskys as the corporate employer, is ultimately responsible for securing continued compliance with the requirements of EPA 90 and all other relevant legislation. This responsibility is extended to include visitors and other non-employees whilst they are on our premises by requiring them to protect the environment from damage. This statement, therefore, is to be brought to the attention of all staff and any visitors or contractors who may be affected by its contents.
2. We are charged with, and accept responsibility for, ensuring the proper application of the corporate environmental protection objectives as far as our authority allows.
3. At Safeskys we acknowledge that global environmental conservation is one of the most important issues that the world faces. We are therefore committed to giving full consideration to environmental protection in all aspects of our operations. To this end, the following objectives have been adopted:
¨ To establish an organisation which is able to promote environmental protection activities.
¨ To strive for continual improvements in the quality of environmental protection activities by understanding the effects of our activities on the environment and to determine an economically and technologically feasible range of objectives and targets.
¨ To comply with environment related laws, regulations, agreements and conventions, and set independent targets in an attempt to preserve the environment.
¨ To minimise waste, conserve energy, conserve natural resources and recycle wherever possible in all aspects of our operations.
¨ To reduce the use and release into the atmosphere of ozone depleting substances, greenhouse gases and other substances harmful to the environment through recovery and recycling, adoption of alternative technologies and use of alternative substances.
¨ To enhance our environmental management systems.
¨ To undertake environmental education and training to increase awareness of fundamental environmental issues.
4. All employees, whatever their status, are to assist and co-operate in fulfilling the environmental protection objectives.
